Tomatoe Rotini Soup - A favortie of my family!

The crockpot is filled up and now I can smell Tomatoe Rotini soup cooking all day.  It will taste so good after the youth football game tonight.
I got this recipe from one of those little Betty Crocker books you get by the checkout at the grocery store and then did some tweeking, I'm real good at tweeking and dumping in this and that! Ha!  But try this recipe, I guarentee your family will love it.

Tomatoe Rotini Soup
4 c chicken broth
4 c. tomatoe juice (I use spicy tomatoe juice, fareway has it)
1 Tbsp. dried basil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp.pepper
2 carrot, choppped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 c sliced mushrooms
2 garlic cloves
1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 lb. Italian sausage, browned (I put it in the food chopper after cooking it, to get it fine)
1 1/2c Rotini
Shredded parmesan cheese to garnish with

Put everything in crockpot except Rotini and cheese.  I put in chopped Zuchinni also.
Cover and cook on low 8-9 hours
Stir in pasta and increase heat to high.  Cover and cook 20 minutes or until past is tender.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

I serve with warm french bread.  I bought a loaf from the new Country Market yesterday.  I wrap it in foil and warm it up in the oven.

I guarantee you, they will love it.
Today I made 1 1/2 times the recipe, so I used the whole can of tomatoe juice and 2 lb. of Italian sausage.

Caramel Apple Cobblers

And now for dessert!
As my middle son would explain them, AWESOME.
I just bought these ramekins, been wanting some and this was the perfect recipe.
I found a new recipe in Sandra Lee's Semi homemade, but I couldn't find the nut bread she called for, so I tweeked the recipe and it turned out very yummy.

1 box Phillsbury Quick Cinnamon bread
1/4 c butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 can apple pie filling
1 c. brown sugar

1. Prehear oven to 425 degrees. Spray ramekins.  Mix cinnamon bread according to package (only the bread portion, save the cinnamon and frosting mixtures)
2. In a pan, melt butter, add flour and stir until smooth, add pie filling and brown sugar ( I also added a couple teaspoons of the cinnamon packet from bread box)and bring to boil; remove from heat.
3. Spoon hot apple filling into ramekins, spoon bread mixture on top, then I sprinkled a little of the cinnamon mixture on the top of each.
Bake for 18-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's good, it's gone!  And that it was, before I could even take a photo for the blog, sorry.  My kitchen smelled so good while it was cooking!  It was yummy.  Here's the recipe;

1 Tbsp. Olive oil
1 1/2 lbs. sirloin steak, cut into 1 inches pieces
1 tsp. salt

1 (8oz) package fresh sliced mushrooms
1 pkg. frozen pearl onions  ( I just chopped some onion up)
2 cups, Red Wine
1 can condensed golden mushroon soup

1.In large skillet, heat oil ( I used about 1 1/2 TBsp because I upped the meat)
Sprinkle the steak with salt and pepper.  (I bought about 2.5 lbs steak)
Cook steak, about 8 minutes (less for less meat) or until browned.
Remove meat with slotted spoon.
2. Add mushrooms and onions to pan, cook about 5 minutes
Add Red wine, bring to boil and then reduce heat simmering 6 minutes of until liquid reduces about 50%
3. Increase heat to medium-high, add soup, bring to boil.  Add steak and any juices from bowl.  Cook, stirring until bubbyly.

I served over mashed potatoes and with a dinner roll.
